This table lists the molar enthalpy (heat) of fusion, ΔfusH, for over 1100 inorganic and organic compounds. All values refer to the enthalpy change at equilibrium between the liquid phase and the most stable solid phase at the phase transition temperature. Most values of ΔfusH are given at the normal melting point tm; see column definition table for details. Temperatures are given on the ITS–90 scale.
Column definitions for the table are as follows.
Column heading | Definition |
Name | Name of substance, either an IUPAC systematic name or, in the case of drugs and other complex compounds, a common synonym; listed alphabetically |
Mol. form. | Molecular formula in the Hill convention |
tmp | Normal melting point; a “tp” following the entry in the melting point column indicates a triple-point temperature, where the solid, liquid, and gas phases are in equilibrium; all temperatures are in °C; a few entries have the triple-point pressure indicated; (dec) = decomposes |
ΔfusH | Molar enthalpy of fusion, in units kJ mol-1 |
Name | Synonym | Mol. form. | Formula | CAS Reg. No. | Mol. Wt. | tmp/ºC | ΔfusH/ kJ mol-1 |
