These tables give the temperature dependence of the thermal conductivity of several metals and of carbon, germanium, and silicon. For graphite, separate entries are given for the thermal conductivity parallel (∥) and perpendicular (⊥) to the layer planes. The thermal conductivity of all these materials is very sensitive to impurities at low temperatures, especially below 100 K. Therefore, the values given here should be regarded as typical values for a highly purified specimen; the thermal conductivity of different specimens can vary by more than an order of magnitude in the low-temperature range. See Ref. 2 for details.
Table 1 contains thermal conductivity values for temperatures 1 K to 90 K. Table 2 has thermal conductivity values for temperatures 100 K to 2000 K; for germanium and silicon, values below 300 K are typical values.
